We all have human rights, but did you know that children have a special set of rights? For example, adults have the right to get married. But children, particularly girls, need to be protected from being married off before they've had a chance to grow up.
I love the new little Pocket Book of Children's Rights that UNICEF UK has just published. The easy language and engaging pictures make it really accessible and memorable.

I’m hoping that Members of Parliament (in Westminster and Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) have the booklet in their pockets, as we recently sent them each a copy. We've actually had some really nice responses from Parliamentarians who, after all, really need to know about children’s rights in order to do their work and represent their constituents.
If you’d like to find out more, or order copies of the Pocket Book, you can get them on the UNICEF UK website.
